Select properties and then remove background.  then press Ctrl shift E  – all at the same time of course 🙂 then delete the masked layer and save your cut out as a png file. 

Do this with all your images. Once you have compiled all your images, create a new library and drag all the images into the library. now you can just drag and drop your collage images onto your art board and move them around wherever using the selection tool.
